Misconceptions about mental health are very common. Even in most educated circles, mental health concerns are viewed in very bad light. These misconceptions are reasons for the debilitating social stigma faced by people experiencing mental health problems. As a result, people with mental health concerns are reluctant to accept their condition and seek professional help that would allow them to lead a happy and productive life. This course allows working professionals to enroll in a program that helps them understand the causes for mental health problems, the active measures that act as protective factors against mental health problems, and ways to deal with mental health problems after a problem has precipitated. The focus is to equip individuals to be competent, mentally healthy managers in their respective domains. These individuals will also act as first – responders in the organization, who can help a vulnerable colleague and prevent a problem from escalating.
